Emotionworks Cut Opera returns with this outdoor, Covid Safe, new and revised version of old favourite integrated with a stack of new popular jazz and blues songs and the usual mix of fun and games. In their version, Bizet’s popular opera Carmen is cut down, fast-moving, racy and foot tapping.
This is opera fusion.
Showcasing great singing and dancing and starring the gorgeous Alison Lemoh as Carmen, Jason Wasley as Don Jose and featuring jazz singer Annemarie Sharry. Directed and devised by Julie Edwardson and accompanied by the Cut Opera House Combo and the Cut Opera Vox Ensemble.
